Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive and organized Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our recruitment team. In this role, you will be responsible for contacting skilled construction professionals within the UK, pre-vetting candidates for open positions, and gathering reliable references. Unlike traditional sales roles, there is no selling involved in these calls – the main goal is to assess candidate fit and confirm past performance through references. This role offers a base salary with added commission for each qualified lead generated.
Key Responsibilities
Make 80-120 calls per day to construction professionals across the UK.
Conduct pre-vetting conversations to assess candidates’ skills, qualifications, and reliability for specific roles.
Collect approximately 20-30 fully vetted candidate profiles daily and obtain 40 references.
Ask targeted questions to verify experience, past work performance, and qualifications, ensuring each candidate meets the required standards and certifications.
Accurately document call outcomes and candidate information in the company’s CRM system.
Collaborate with the recruitment team to identify high-quality candidates and promptly escalate viable leads.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Daily call volume: 80-120 calls
Qualified, vetted candidates: 20-30 per day
References obtained: 40 per day
Accurate CRM Update
Requirements
Experience in a high-volume outbound calling or recruitment support role is preferred.
Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with skilled professionals and assess their experience.
Organized and able to maintain accurate records in a CRM system.
Ability to work efficiently and meet targets with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of the construction industry or recruitment is a plus.
