- Coordinate, reconcile, and process payroll through ADP.
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
- Calculate and adjust wages as needed.
- Manage employee changes, including processing new hires in HRIS Systems, terminations, garnishments, tax deductions, and more.
- Process workers' compensation and unemployment wage requests promptly.
- Submit data for leave and disability coverage processing and payment.
- Prepare payroll reports as required.
- Enforce federal, state, and local payroll compliance, advising management on actions needed.
- Update and maintain State and Local Withholding Tax Rates
- Administer our 401(k) program and jurisdictional enrollments.
- Respond promptly to Payroll, HR, and Benefits inquiries.
- Process the HR team’s incoming mail and notices
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold payroll and HR integrity.
- Support new employee onboarding, serving as a key contact for payroll and HR questions.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Note:
This is a remote role with periodic travel to our NY offices.
What you
will need:
- Experience processing multi-state payroll (California experience a plus).
- At least 1 year of experience with ADP Payroll.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and high discretion.
- Strong organizational skills, capable of working under pressure.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Possessing a strong customer service orientation.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with HR and Benefits Administration (or a strong willingness to learn).
- High School Diploma required; college degree or equivalent experience preferred.
