Physician - Gastroenterology
Job Summary:
Tryon Medical Partners is looking for a Gastroenterologist to provide long-term, comprehensive care to our patients and manage both common and complex diseases. You should be able to effectively diagnose patients and suggest a successful course of treatment.
Responsibilities:
- Consult with patients, their primary care providers, other physicians, including at times oncologists, to coordinate and provide seem less gastrointestinal care.
- Ordering and interpreting specialized tests to diagnose patient gastrointestinal illnesses.
- Proficiency in interpreting serious radiological tests including CT scans, MRI scans, x-ray reports, ultrasound testing, among others.
- Competently perform endoscopic tests to evaluate the gastrointestinal tract.
Requirements:
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- MD or DO degree.
- Successful completion of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE).
- Certification by The American Board of Internal Medicine.
- Valid North Carolina medical license.
Experience:
- Completion of 3 year Gastroenterology fellowship.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Outstanding research and analytical skills.
- Excellent communicator who can empathize with patients.
Physical Requirements:
- Work consistently requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling.
- Must be able to lift and support weight of 35 pounds.
- Ability to concentrate on details.
- Use of computer for long periods of time.
