This position will allow a remote work arrangement after 6-8 weeks of onsite training, but will require Indiana state residency. Your Impact:
The purpose of this role is to serve INPRS customers by processing retirement related activities. Primary duties will include, but are not limited to, all funds retirement account review, all funds pension benefit calculations, simple service inquiries, plan to plan service transfers and recalculations. This role reports directly to the Benefits Supervisor/Manager. The Processor will need to obtain in-depth knowledge of all pension plans, processing procedures and supporting systems within the INPRS organization.
Essential Duties:
- Perform retirement account review
- Process retirement calculations; both initial calculations and recalculations due to changes in member account information
- Setup benefit recipients within processing system
- Perform simple service credit inquiries
- Process plan to plan service transfers
- Process initial death reviews and terminate accounts
- Prepare monthly disability/continuing education correspondence for verification of continued eligibility to receive pension benefits
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Proficient oral and written communication skills needed in working with internal and external customers
- Strong organization skills needed in conjunction with organizing workflow, setting priorities and meeting deadlines

Experience and Qualifications:
- Required; HS Diploma or equivalent.
- Background in pension plan administration preferred
