Position Overview


The Business Development Analyst is responsible for developing and managing a pipeline to identify and track new opportunities within the government. Primary responsibilities include market and competitor research and analysis, and capture support. The Business Development department works closely with Operations and company partners to assess and identify business opportunities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Provide market analysis, insides sales support to identify market opportunities that may be appropriate for pursuit. Must be capable of analyzing returned data sets and comparing against FM Talent’s core capabilities to identify opportunities of interest
  • Identifies, researches and supports the response to Request for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs) and Sources Sought notices issued by the Federal Government using a variety of opportunity portals such as FBO, GovWin, eBuy, FPDS and others.
  • Collaborate with S & G Team to pursue opportunities within target markets
  • Research and identify potential teaming partners and develop relationships and partnerships in pursuit of potential opportunities.
  • Participate in industry days, appropriate associations, and networking opportunities.
  • Perform competitive assessment, risk analysis and Bid/No-Bid recommendation in daily briefings
  • Responsible for entering and updating opportunity data in the company’s BD system.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains standard processes and tools.
  • Review Dailey RFQs, RFIs, Call Orders, Sources Sought and Market Research notifications for all current and future GWACs/BPAs and related agency specific IDIQ’s to identify opportunities that fit FMTs core capabilities. Handle complex calendars and prioritize commitments to maximize time and productivity.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Proposal Coordination:

  • Coordinate the proposal development process from inception to submission, along with coordinating compliance with all requirements outlined in solicitations.
  • Coordinate contributions from subject matter experts, writers, and graphic designers to create compelling and persuasive proposals.
  • Develop and maintain proposal schedules, track progress and ensuring deadlines are met.

Qualifications


  • Must have 3-5 years of Business Development experience.
  • Government contracting experience preferred.
  • Experience with current industry trends and the competitive environment.
  • Experience using SAM, GovWin and other research platforms.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • BA / BS in business or any other related degree.
  • Proficiency or ability to learn in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, SharePoint, Zoom Info and Salesforce.
  • Excellent project and time management skills with strong results and goal orientation.
