Position Overview:
The Product Development Associate, Special Projects, at Greyson Clothiers will play a crucial role in developing and managing products for our golf and wholesale accounts from creation to approval. This position emphasizes effective communication and collaboration among concept design, production, and decoration teams as well as external partners in the supply chain. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of industry trends, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build collaborative relationships across teams.
This position is part of our Special Projects team and focuses on product offerings and categories outside of the main line. Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the concept design team to conceptualize and develop apparel and products for the Special Projects team.
- Create and maintain detailed tech packs for all products, including specifications for materials, construction, and finishes.
- Assist in the fabric, trim, and decoration approval process.
- Review samples and provide feedback to ensure products meet design and quality standards.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely sourcing and delivery of materials.
- Maintain a calendar of key product development milestones to ensure timely product launches.
- Work closely with the production team to address any issues that arise during the manufacturing process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Retail Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar role within the retail or apparel industry, preferably in golf or activewear.
- Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, & XD) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Air table or other PLM systems a plus.
- Working knowledge of garment spec’ing & technical design processes.
- Strong understanding of fashion trends, design concepts, and styling principles relevant to active & lifestyle apparel.
- Ability to work under tight timelines & manage multiple deadlines to meet event driven product launches.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to establish processes and manage priorities effectively.
- Outstanding communication and collaboration skills to facilitate cross-functional teamwork.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for delivering high-quality work.

Additional Information:
This role is a hybrid position with a minimum of three days per week required on-site at our Detroit, MI office.
