POSITION SUMMARY:
FULLBEAUTY Brands is seeking a Director, IT – E-Commerce to lead the technical development and operation of our eCommerce platforms. This role involves overseeing all aspects of our high-volume, transactional eCommerce systems, including those built on Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC), with a focus on scalability, performance, and cloud infrastructure. The Director will guide engineering teams in implementing robust, secure, and flexible eCommerce solutions, utilizing AWS cloud technologies.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers, including technical managers and tech leads, ensuring high standards of technical delivery and fostering a collaborative culture of innovation.
- Technical Strategy & Architecture: Provide architectural leadership for our eCommerce stack, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with best practices.
- Cloud & Infrastructure: Oversee the implementation and operation of cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on AWS services, ensuring our systems are secure, reliable, and scalable.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with product, marketing, and operational teams to ensure eCommerce technologies align with business objectives and deliver superior customer experiences.
- Vendor & Third-party Integration: Manage the relationship and technical integration with external partners and service providers, ensuring seamless operation and support.
- Monitoring & Optimization: Establish performance monitoring and operational best practices to ensure optimal uptime, performance, and customer satisfaction, while proactively resolving any technical challenges.
- Innovation & Best Practices: Keep abreast of the latest technologies and innovations in eCommerce, cloud computing, and DevOps, incorporating them into our platform as appropriate to drive continuous improvement.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience:
- 12+ years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on eCommerce.
- 5+ years in leadership roles managing full-stack engineering teams in a high-volume, transactional eCommerce environment.
- Proven experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC).
- Strong expertise in AWS cloud services and architecture.
Technical Skills:
- Hands-on experience with microservices, API-first architecture, and cloud-native technologies.
- Strong proficiency in managing DevOps pipelines, CI/CD processes, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- In-depth understanding of modern web technologies, RESTful APIs, and service-oriented architecture.
Leadership Skills:
- Exceptional ability to lead, mentor, and inspire technical teams, ensuring high-quality delivery and a focus on innovation.
- Experience managing third-party integrations and vendor relationships.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a passion for building customer-centric, scalable solutions.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
PREFERRED:
- CommerceTools experience or experience with other composable commerce platforms is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with frontend frameworks such as React or Vue.js.
- Experience with other eCommerce platforms like Shopify and digital marketing tools.
