Position Overview


The Director of Sales and Marketing will drive organic revenue growth across both companies, formulating messaging, cultivating strong relationships with our buyers and mentoring team members and improving our processes to deliver engaging campaigns and sales wins. Success will require effective collaboration with other team members and a desire to continuously improve our campaigns, prospecting, deal management, communication, and sales and marketing functions. The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, and excited to help lead our efforts to expand our impact in the K-12 education market. 

Responsibilities


Sales:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Accountability for sales team’s bookings goals and productivity targets
  • Oversee sales pipeline, ensuring accuracy in our deal flow and bookings projections
  • Network and start conversations with K-12 District & Charter School decision-makers
  • Evolve sales, processes improving visibility, predictability and repeatability 
  • Understand buyer requirements and use cases 
  • End-to-end deal management and negotiation of contract terms and pricing with buyers

Marketing:

  • Identify marketing themes and pillar content pieces, oversee content development
  • Create a marketing calendar and campaign plan
  • Deliver improvements in our digital marketing footprint - website, paid, earned, social
  • Oversee our marketing automation/CRM and prospect database - Hubspot
  • Define metrics and marketing attribution model measuring campaign effectiveness

Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, 5+ years of SaaS sales/marketing experience
  • Proven ability to manage end-to-end deal processes from initial outreach to demos, to negotiations with decision-makers
  • Ability to learn and deliver clear demonstrations of our products
  • People-first leader with strong mentoring, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to build relationships with various levels of prospects and current clients
  • Strong authoring, verbal, written communication, and customer presentation skills
