DSFederal,Inc. seeking a skilled Clinical Decision Support (CDS) Repository Specialist to oversee the submission, review, and maintenance of clinical artifacts in an open-access CDS repository. This position ensures the integrity, accuracy, and currency of all submitted CDS artifacts and manages the annual review process for existing artifacts to align with updated standards, evidence, and best practices. The ideal candidate will have experience in clinical informatics, clinical decision support systems, and data governance, with a strong understanding of Clinical Quality Language (CQL), FHIR standards, and healthcare terminologies.
This is a Contingent Position.
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee the submission of new CDS artifacts from independent developers/publishers, ensuring compliance with repository standards.· Perform an initial quality check on submissions to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with best practices and recent evidence.· Document errors in content, value set selection, or CQL logic.· Identify and coordinate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and artifact publishers for reviews, including clinical, data science, and CQL technical assessments.· Compile recommendations for artifact improvements and communicate with publishers for possible revisions.· Coordinate final checks on supplemental files to ensure they are free from malicious code and safe for public users.· Ensure all artifacts comply with 508-conformance standards and other accessibility guidelines.Requirements
Experience Required:
· Experience in clinical informatics, CDS, or healthcare IT, especially with CQL and FHIR standards.· Strong understanding of healthcare terminologies, including ICD, SNOMED, and LOINC.· Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively with clinical and technical teams.· Familiarity with data governance, version control, and artifact lifecycle management.
Education Required:
