A3 Technology, Inc. is seeking a mid-level Computer Scientist to join our team in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. This position will be responsible for providing remote technical support of the Visual Surveillance Advisory System (VSAS) and Automation Engineering.
Essential Job Functions:
- Work specifically with the VSAS Team using Ocularis (Video Management Software), AutoHotkey Scripting, along with knowledge of Computer Programming and Networking to provide remote technical support of VSAS in a Windows/Linux environment.
- Proficiency and knowledge of computer programming and networking.
- Skills and experience with system interfaces as well as electrical engineering concepts and principles.
- Create and Maintain Technical Documentation.
- Ability to work individually and within a group/team.
- Ability to take direction and initiative, ability to provide direction and training.
- Ability to communicate technical issues with non-technical people.
- Desk/lab located at the William J. Hughes Technical Center.
- Must be able to ascend a 40-foot tower in support of preventive maintenance inspections (PMIs), as well as equipment repair/upgrade.
- Fall/Arrest Training and Equipment.
- Limited (5% or less) travel to Aspen, Colorado.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Required:
- Knowledge of Computer Programming and Networking, Electrical Engineering Concepts and Principles, AutoHotkey Scripting and Windows/LINUX.
- Ability to communicate technical issues with non-technical people.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and able to work in a fast paced and challenging environment.
Preferred:
- Ocularis (Video Management Software).
- Fall/Arrest Training and Equipment is a bonus.
Education:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and (12) years of related work experience in a computer science or math field or
- Master’s degree and (9) years related work experience in a computer science or math field.
Additionally, US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US is a must. Upon receiving a conditional offer of employment, candidates will undergo a Government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for Government clearance.
