Research Assistant, Early Years Digital Literacy

We're looking for a mission-driven Research Assistant, Early Years Digital Literacy who is passionate about creating more accessible, inclusive, and equitable communities across Canada where people with low vision have unlimited opportunities and can experience life free from barriers and discrimination.

Your Impact at CNIB


  • The position entails, but is not limited to the following general responsibilities:

  • Data auditing and cleaning
  • Data entry
  • Literature reviews
  • Development of training materials
  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Qualitative interviews
    • Communicating configuration of file management with project team (manager, coordinator, and research lead).
    • Collaborating with research lead for Early Years Digital Literacy project and any other team members from the research team as necessary.
    • Issues with collection and organization of participant can be escalated to research lead to work in collaboration with the manager to source efficient solutions.
    • Research assistant will provide/escalate information to research lead and manager who will resolve issues and create decisions.
    • The research assistant will follow clear instructions from research lead in agreement with our consent documentation and management plans.

    Requirements


    Who you are:


    Education and Certifications


    • Currently enrolled or completed a post-secondary program

    Experience and Qualifications


    • Data management and data entry
    • Organization and time management
    • Communication skills, comfortable escalating issues to manager/team.
    • Demonstrated interest in research
    • Ability to adhere to guidelines and code of ethics.
    • Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and sight loss is considered an asset.
    • Personal or professional experience working with assistive technology and/or accessible environments is considered an asset.
