The Opportunity
We are seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test II (SDET II) at Observe AI. As an SDET II, you will work closely with developers to automate developed features, Engineering pipelines, and manual testing of the new features.
What you’ll do day to day:
- You will be responsible for owning the complete automation and planning and designing tests for performance, API, and UI for the product area.
- You would also work on the setup of automation infrastructure, focusing on configuring real-time triggers in the CI/CD pipeline and leveraging kubernetes for dynamic, on-demand resource allocation to ensure timely and efficient test execution for real-time applications.
- You will be building high-quality test strategies to cover end to end testing of highly responsive real time desktop clients across a variety of devices.
- You will get an opportunity to contribute at all levels of the test pyramid.
- You will also work with customer success and product teams to replicate post-production release issues.
- Besides that, you will attract talent and guide junior SDETs to gain knowledge of new tools and remove blockers.
Who you are:
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject with 3+ years of Product testing experience.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (preferably Java)
- Knowledge of data structures and algorithms
- Strong expertise in automation and manual testing of APIs, UI, database, and data pipelines
- Must have prior automation experience for Rest based web services using Java (testng, maven, httpclient, Rest Assured, JAXB, JAXRS, Jersey, Jackson, Jmeter).
- Hands-on automation experience required in Selenium & Appium for UI.
- Must have prior experience in creating optimal test strategy (Including Functional, Non -Functional, Analytics, and automation) and test plans for short term and long-term projects both.
- Must have strong hands-on experience on functional and non-functional automation both for Web, Rest services.
- Prior experience and exposure to automated tests for web sockets and/or desktop applications is a plus.
- Worked in B2B Saas company.
