The day to day
- Building automated, scalable services and systems to power our growing infrastructure
- Collaborating with an agile team that is passionate about new technologies and delivering high quality and timely code
- Working with monitoring and alerting systems to aid engineering and support efforts
- Constantly look for opportunities to automate and optimize
- Work with Kubernetes solutions across various cloud providers such as Azure, AWS, GCP
- Produce quality, testable and maintainable systems with fast feedback loops
- Build and enhance infrastructure for serving WordPress on thousands of servers
- Be customer inspired and work closely with business partners to incrementally deliver positive outcomes through technology
- Develop CI/CD pipelines for pushing code into production
Your expertise and passion
- 5+ years software engineering experience
- Has worked on an agile team and is passionate about SRE principles
- Proficient in Python or Go programming
- Expertise working with Kubernetes and containerization
- Experience working with Kubernetes orchestration on hosted cloud service like AWS, GCP or Azure
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform.
- Understanding of the common WordPress technology stack is desirable: Linux, Varnish, Apache/Nginx, MySQL, and PHP
- Has experience (or interest) in: configuration management systems, monitoring systems and computer network technologies
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or Equivalent Experience
