We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Freight Audit and Pay Associate to support our logistics and transportation team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing the freight payment and audit processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. Familiarity with industry-standard software such as 3GTMS for freight bill management and TriumphPay for accounts payable processing is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the freight audit and payment process, ensuring all freight bills are accurately audited, processed, and paid in a timely manner.
- Support the utilization of 3GTMS to optimize shipping operations and ensure data accuracy in the transportation management system.
- Aid in managing relationships with carriers and vendors, assisting in compliance with contracts and resolving payment discrepancies.
- Contribute to the implementation and utilization of TriumphPay to streamline payment processes and improve transaction transparency.
- Collaborate with IT and senior team members to address any system issues, ensuring smooth operation of software tools.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of internal controls and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Participate in analyzing transportation and freight cost data to identify trends, savings opportunities, and efficiency improvements.
- Provide support to the team on the use of transportation management and payment systems.
- Assist in preparing regular reports for management on freight payment trends, issues, and performance metrics.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or related field.
- Desirable: +2 years of experience in a related field, with exposure to freight audit and payment processes being a plus.
- Familiarity with software such as 3GTMS and TriumphPay is desirable.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
