Position Summary
As a Project Manager, you will support the management of paving contracts. Your main duties will include assisting with job cost tracking, project communication, and administrative tasks. You will help coordinate work schedules, support subcontractors, and act as a point of contact for customers.At Mantis Innovation, we value successful projects based on safety, profitability, and effective communication.
Responsibilites
- Assist in creating and updating project plans, including timelines and task assignments.
- Help maintain project documentation and records of activities.
- Support contract management tasks, including basic cost estimating and subcontractor coordination.
- Collaborate with team members and customers to ensure project plans are executed smoothly.
- Build positive relationships with the community, addressing questions and concerns.
- Aid in project start-up and close-out, ensuring all necessary documents and requirements are completed.
- Travel Requirements: up to 50%
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable working with diverse customers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and willing to learn project management software.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and build positive relationships.
- Good problem-solving skills for resolving conflicts and issues.
- Strong time management skills, able to handle multiple tasks effectively.
- Flexible schedule, including possible nights and weekends.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with guidance.
Minimum Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Some relevant experience is preferred, particularly with municipal or commercial projects.
- Basic understanding of paving and construction processes is helpful but not required
