Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Advanced degree preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in oncology, with a deep understanding of tumor profiling, molecular landscape, health systems, GPOs, and oncology practices.
- Proven track record of establishing strategic relationships and driving new business growth.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of oncology therapeutics, surgical oncology intervention, and molecular laboratory science.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly and concisely.
- Proven ability to build trust with key leaders and articulate business needs and objectives.
- Strong presentation skills and executive presence.
- Comprehensive understanding of billing and reimbursement laboratory landscapes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic Growth:
- Identify new opportunities and collaborate with leadership to develop strategies, tactics, and resource plans to drive profitable growth in the oncology market.
- Develop relationships with business and medical senior leadership on the client side to strengthen partnerships.
Contract Management:
- Understand and interpret laboratory management contracts, ensuring appropriate execution.
- Manage the process for amending and renewing contracts based on hospital requirements and committee approvals.
Client Engagement:
- Proactively partner with Commercial and Operations teams to ensure smooth transitions for new customers and minimize business risks.
- Connect regularly with customer C-suite and laboratory leadership to reinforce the value proposition.
Customer Support:
- Develop strategic plans to reduce attrition and support at-risk customers, participating in new customer onboarding and optimizing service levels.
- Act as the main point of contact between the customer and internal functions, including regional Lab Ops and Customer Support.
Market Knowledge:
- Maintain a core understanding of competitive products, services, technology solutions, and reimbursement issues.
- Provide regular visibility on industry trends, best practices, and competitive insights to the VP.
Travel:
- Minimum travel of 25-30% required to meet clients and prospects.
