Project Description:
Support and assist the federal staff within all CISOD organizational units. The requirement includes cybersecurity policy, assistance for Cybersecurity related missions as required meeting DHS, OCIO, and CISOD strategic plans, mission goals and objectives. Will support sub-organizational units within the CISOD which include: Policy, Business Operations, and Cybersecurity Service Delivery Branches.
Position Description:
The Sr. Analyst will serve as a team member supporting IT audit readiness/response documentation efforts and compliance leading practices through a variety of work efforts
Tasks:
- Review, track, process and assign audit-related emails, actions and correspondence from auditors, audit agencies and OCIO representatives.
- Coordinate timely audit responses through facilitating communication between all levels of DHS staff, OCIO staff, management, senior leadership, second-party contractors, third-party contractors, internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure audit responses are processed in compliance with audit requirements and in accordance with the Office of Inspector General (OIG), General Accounting Office (GAO), DHS management directives, policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Research, analysis, data entry, data extraction and data management for audit responses to Federal, State and Local government agencies, DHS HQ Offices, DHS Component Offices, OCIO Offices, internal stakeholders, external stakeholders, and other entities, as required.
- Independently write or approve audit Only the Federal Manager or assigned Federal employees shall approve audit responses.
- Assist with drafting Audit Responses, Executive Tasker Responses and Summary Data Call Reports.
- Edit and proofread audit documents and Executive Level audit-related documents ensuring proper grammar, syntax, context, and content accurately and effectively report audit data.
- Perform audit data entries and generate reports in the Program Management Office tracking tool and the OCIO Audits Microsoft Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool.
- Schedule, coordinate and facilitate meetings with DHS, OCIO, internal and external stakeholders to coordinate audit research, data collection, consolidation, reporting, briefing, problem solving, troubleshooting, process improvements and routing of submissions for review and approval.
- Assist audit lead to develop, refine, and distribute Weekly Status Reports, Monthly Status Reports and Annual Reports reporting audit progress, audit performance metrics, audit issues and audit deliverables for DHS, OCIO, OIG, GAO, and internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and distribute draft audit meeting agendas and documents.
Required Skills:
- (BA/BS) Computer Science or equivalent experience and minimum 7 years of related work experience and Familiarity with Cybersecurity concepts.
- 5-7 year’s experience independently writing, editing, and approving audit responses
