Responsibilities


  • Develop and maintain scalable, efficient data pipelines that automate the ingestion, transformation, and storage of data
  • Translate data science prototypes into production-ready code, ensuring reliability and performance.
  • Develop microservices that expose machine learning or information retrieval algorithms.
  • Contribute in identifying performance bottlenecks and improving systems scalability.
  • Stay updated with the latest technologies and methodologies in both software engineering and data science, and apply them to improve team practices.

Requirements


  • Strong proficiency in Python, along with experience in widely-used Python frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of software development principles and architectural best practices.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP or Azure.
  • Proficiency in using Docker, Kubernetes, or similar containerization and orchestration tools.
  • Proven experience in designing and developing APIs and microservices.
  • Proficiency in SQL with hands-on experience in working with relational databases.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications (in order):


  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts and libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, PyTorch).
  • Experience with information retrieval systems like Elasticsearch.
  • Familiarity with messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with Java and widely-used Java frameworks.
