Senior Accountant
- Headcount: 1- Location: Belfast (Belfast will need to have a Real Estatebackground)- Est Start Date: October 1, 2024- We would look to hire a senior accountant in each location with 7+ years of experience working withPrivate Equity (PE) and Hedge Fund (HF) experience that have worked at a Big 4 or BDO, Grant Thornton,RSM or similar accounting firm, Fund Administrator or internally at a Fund in their accountingdepartment.Responsibilities Arrange, coordinate and participate in weekly, monthly or as needed conference calls with US/UK officesto support clients during their business hours Daily entry, tracking/approval, and reconciliation of Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R)and Cash Flow reports Calculation of management fees and incentive allocation Fund and management company financial statement preparation/review Accounting principles and issues research, as needed Assist in evaluating current financial and accounting process for new clients, propose improvements andhelp coordinate implementation efforts US GAAP and UK FRS 102 Standards for Financial Reporting Assist in the opening of brokerage and/or bank accounts Review of service provider contracts and fund documents Advise clients on various issues as they arise Develop and oversee staff in delivery of services Participate in special projects Develop budgets / Budget-to-Actual Analysis Establish accounting practices – different clients in different industries have different needs Accounting principles and issues research Create financial models and provide ad-hoc financial analysis Evaluate current financial and accounting processes for clients, propose improvements and helpcoordinate implementation effortsQualifications 7+ years of experience in the alternative Investment Management industry (Hedge Fund, Private Equity,Venture Capital, Real Estate) Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent certification in Philippines/Belfast CPA, equivalent accounting certification in India Experience at Fund Administrator or internal accounting department at an Alternative Investment fund Attention to detail and ability to multi-task Hard-working, self-starter, dedicated, punctual and personable Excellent organizational skills Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills Strong accounting and analytical skills Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software MUST include Sage Intacct, withknowledge of QuickBooks and Xero Passionate about working in a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and fast-paced environment In depth understanding of investment management and alternative products Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions to solve problems -quickly and competently
