We hope to eliminate the burden of billing for patients and providers by delivering a comprehensive, personalized, and connected financial experience.As part of our vision to create a smoother patient billing experience, we are in need of a

Senior


Frontend Engineer to join our Design System squad. Our team builds new components for cross-team use, tackles the most challenging frontend issues across Cedar and evangelizes best practices with other product engineers. 

Responsibilities:


  • Lead the development of high-impact, frontend-focused product features across multiple squads
  • Author flexible UI components that will be utilized in the Cedar product ecosystem
  • Lead frontend modernization efforts in a hands-on way for products used by millions of patients
  • Mentor team members at all levels and uplevel their frontend expertise through trainings, documentation, PR reviews & 1:1 mentorship
  • Ensure we are building for long term maintainability, particularly with respect to accessibility compliance
  • Work autonomously and creatively in navigating and overcoming obstacles that you encounter
  • Support your counterparts on the product & design teams on understanding and solving patient problems, playing a key role in the product development process.
  • Develop, review, and maintain efficient and reliable code.

Required Skills & Experience:


  • 8+ years building web front-ends using technologies like React / TypeScript / Next.js etc
  • Mastery of front-end development languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, as well as design tools like Figma, with strong attention to detail
  • Experience working with design systems - you’ve authored and maintained UI components that are accessible, performant, scalable, and robust
  • Experience with accessibility guidelines such as WCAG
  • Experience with frontend technologies such as Webpack / Yarn / Sass etc
  • Comfortable working autonomously with product designers, product managers, and engineers to create delightful user-facing experiences
  • Some experience with Python or another backend programming language - you should be comfortable understanding a back-end code base and making changes

Compensation Range and Benefits:


  • Salary/Hourly Rate Range*: $195,500 - $230,000
  • This role is equity eligible
