About Taroko
Taroko Software is a fast-growing, forward-thinking venture studio with roots in Taipei City and a bold vision inspired by Silicon Valley startup culture. We don’t just build products—we craft experiences, design solutions, and back startups that are shaping the future of technology. Now operating globally with a strong focus on U.S. markets, we redefine industries with cutting-edge, market-disrupting solutions. Our latest venture, Hue, is an AI-powered platform that empowers entrepreneurs and small businesses to bring their ideas to life—starting with naming, logo design, brand kits, domains, websites, and eventually trademarks and incorporation.
Hue is built by a lean, senior team shipping fast, experimenting aggressively, and pushing the boundaries of what AI can do in design and business creation. You’ll be joining at a formative stage and will play a key role in shaping product direction, architecture, and the future of our technology.
Why We’re Different (Taroko + Hue)
- Bootstrapped, profitable, and disciplined — not a VC-burning experiment
- Real products solving real problems, backed by a decade of successful ventures
- Hyper-product-driven culture where engineers influence what we build
- 0→1 ownership: full lifecycle technical responsibility — design, build, ship, and iterate
- Small team, big leverage — lean structure, clear priorities, and meaningful autonomy
- High impact: your work directly empowers founders launching their businesses
Role Overview
We’re looking for a Full Stack Engineer who thrives in 0→1 product environments, moves fast, and takes full ownership of features from day one. You will work closely with product and design to rapidly prototype, iterate, and ship AI-driven features across the Hue ecosystem—including our logo maker, naming engine, brand kit system, and future website builder. If you enjoy taking ambiguous ideas and turning them into polished user experiences—while integrating LLMs, building APIs, and refining complex UI flows—this role is for you.
What You’ll Build in the First 90 Days
- Launch AI-driven naming and logo generation features end-to-end
- Integrate LLM workflows directly into production experiences
- Build new Next.js UI flows for the Hue builder (logo → brand kit → website)
- Prototype rapid POCs for AI-assisted modules(e.g., AI editing flows, dynamic template scaling, vector/SVG transformation pipelines)
- Implement foundational patterns or utilities that improve developer velocity for the entire team
- Influence engineering standards and AI assisted day-to-day workflow as the product scales from 0→1
Responsibilities
- Design and implement full-stack features using Next.js/TypeScript + FastAPI
- Build clean, reusable, scalable code for both new features and existing systems
- Integrate LLMs into product workflows; craft and refine prompts optimized for iterative feedback, reliability, and scalability.
- Work closely with product and design to test ideas and ship fast POCs → MVPs
- Improve internal tooling for logo generation, asset export, and AI interactions
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decision-making
- Own features end-to-end: ideation → scoping → implementation → deployment → iteration
- Help shape internal day-to-day coding processes and engineering best practices with AI
- Contribute to a culture of speed, clarity, and product excellence
Requirements (Must-Haves)
- 3–6+ years of professional full-stack engineering experience in a startup environment
- Strong FE proficiency in Next.js, React, TypeScript
- Strong BE proficiency in Python, ideally FastAPI
- Hands-on experience integrating LLMs in production
- Experience with prompt engineering (structured prompts, tuning for consistency and reducing hallucination)
- Ability to work quickly and independently across the stack
- Strong problem-solving skills and comfort with ambiguity
- Solid fundamentals in API design, debugging, and scalable architecture
- Excellent communication skills in English
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with vector or image rendering pipelines (SVG, canvas, image manipulation)
- Experience with embeddings, RAG, vector search, or agentic workflow
- Background in design tools, creative editors, or graphics programming
- Prior work on AI-driven SAAS products
Who You Are
- You move fast and enjoy shipping real features weekly
- You think like a product engineer, not a ticket-taker
- You can turn loose ideas into well-crafted experiences
- You enjoy ownership, autonomy, and accountability
- You thrive in small teams and high-growth environments
- You’re excited to work on a product that blends AI, creativity, and design
- You love building things — side projects, personal tools, open-source contributions. Please share your GitHub or personal projects; this is the strongest signal we look for.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering or related field is highly preferred
