JOB SUMMARY:
Work for a world class kitchen operation serving baseball teams! Under the direction of the Executive and Sous Chefs, the Breakfast Cook is responsible for ensuring the highest level of food quality is delivered to guests in the morning.
*Starting at $20/hour, based on experience*
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and present all food products, specifically, but not limited to Breakfast service.
- Ensure that food deliveries have been delivered and stored according to the standards set by the Executive Chef and provincial health regulations.
- Follow any and all recipes as they apply to any food products that you prepare, as determined by the Executive Chef, Sous Chef or Lead Cook.
- Maintain sanitation, cleanliness, and organization of kitchen at all times.
- Contribute to a positive team environment.
- Ensure and provide consistent food preparation and the highest calibre of food presentation.
- Ensure cleanliness and hygiene is maintained.
- Take an active role in the production and presentation of all food products to maintain the best quality food style possible while adhering to menu specifications.
- Ensure food is stored in appropriate containers, labeled, and rotated to ensure high standards of freshness, minimizing waste and maximizing quality.
- Aid in maintaining department objectives and ensure they are met and exceeded.
- Strive to advance your knowledge, skills and abilities and consistently share these with others.
- Strive to uphold a safe working environment and be Health and Safety conscious and actively involved in maintaining and improving a safe work environment.
- Follow and adhere to all checklists, prep sheets and par sheets as assigned.
- Practice proper grooming, personal hygiene, and uniform standards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High volume banquet or catering Breakfast cooking.
- Ability to speak English.
- Excellent knowledge of kitchen equipment, safe sanitary practices, and general culinary skills.
- Positive attitude and a consistent display of professionalism.
- Ability to work well with other members of the Culinary team.
- Understanding of catering operational procedures.
- Must have a up to date ServSafe Food Handlers or Manager Card.
- Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug screen.
- Must be able to lift up to 50#.
- Must be able to push a cart weighing up to 300#.
- Ability to endure abundant physical movements in carrying out job duties.
- Ability to take constructive feedback.
REPORTS TO:
- Sous Chefs, Lead Cooks, Hospitality Manager & Executive Chef
WORK SCHEDULE:
- Must have open availability during the Months of February, March, April
- Approximate shift times are early mornings to mid afternoons
- Able to work 40+ hours a week and 8+ hours a day when asked
