We are currently looking for a Functional Analyst for a hybrid position supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Enterprise Measurement and Configuration Services (EMACS) program. This role will provide business and functional support for an IT-focused engagement that enhances the Veteran experience through data-driven and policy-aligned technology solutions. The selected candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver high-quality client-facing deliverables, coordinate activities across workstreams, and support the creation of innovative solutions that optimize operations and improve data quality.
Preferred Work Location:
Hybrid preferred in the Washington, DC / Arlington, VA area.
The candidate must reside within the continental US.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of client-facing deliverables, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery.
- Communicate business priorities, risks, dependencies, and implementation constraints across matrixed teams and client organizations.
- Support cross-workstream coordination, task tracking, and documentation to ensure on-time delivery and engagement success.
- Develop and submit ad-hoc, weekly, and monthly client status reports by coordinating input from multiple stakeholders.
- Facilitate meetings with client stakeholders, document discussions, and track action items to completion.
- Identify, mitigate, and report on risks and issues impacting project delivery or contractual obligations.
- Recommend improvements to internal processes and workflows for increased efficiency.
- Support policy development, data quality improvements, and legislative requirements gathering.
- Contribute to team objectives and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 2+ years of consulting experience, preferably supporting federal programs.
- 2+ years of experience working in or with the Federal Government.
- 2+ years of experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders, teams, and clients.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for business writing, reporting, and client correspondence.
- Excellent organizational and management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Ability to adapt quickly and excel in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability and willingness to obtain a U.S. Public Trust clearance.
Additional Qualifications:
- Prior experience supporting large-scale IT programs or functional initiatives.
- Previous experience in the healthcare industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
- Local candidates preferred (Washington, DC / Arlington, VA area) with hybrid availability three days per week.
