Job Summary:
As a Jr. SEO Specialist, you’ll support the Sr. SEO Specialist in developing and executing SEO strategies that drive measurable growth for our clients. Your days will involve researching keywords, optimizing on-page content, managing link-building initiatives, and tracking performance across tools like GA4, Google Search Console, and Bing Webmaster Tools. You’ll help translate complex SEO data into clear insights and actions that retailers can understand and appreciate.This isn’t a role for someone who just follows checklists.

Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement SEO Strategies: Including on-page and off-page optimization, to improve website traffic and search rankings.
- Technical SEO Improvements: Regularly perform website audits to identify SEO performance gaps and areas for improvement, conduct thorough SEO audits, investigate needed enhancements, and collaborate with web developers to implement necessary improvements.
- Keyword Research & Content Creation: Conduct comprehensive keyword research for various websites/projects to identify optimization opportunities. Findings will be used to optimize content such as meta tags, descriptions, internal linking, on-page content, and blogs, ensuring every page is primed to succeed in search engines.
- Local SEO & Listing Management Enhancements: Conduct research and implement on-page and off-page Local SEO strategies while optimizing and managing business listings on platforms like Google Business Profile and the Semrush tool to enhance local search visibility.
- Performance Monitoring and Analysis: Use SEO tools like Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and SEMrush to monitor and analyze website performance, and leverage AI tools to streamline workflow, boost productivity, and stay ahead of the curve.
- Competitive Analysis: Perform analysis and report on SEO strategies and techniques used by our competitors.
- Link Building: Build and manage high-quality backlinks through ethical and effective link-building campaigns.
- Data Analysis and Goal Setting: Conduct in-depth data analysis by reviewing Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEMrush, and set goals and KPIs for organic search performance on a client basis.
- Monthly SEO Deliverables: Shape monthly SEO deliverables on a per-client basis.
- Stay Updated and Maintain Industry Knowledge: Keep up with SEO best practices, algorithm changes, and industry trends to ensure the website remains optimized and competitive, and maintain current knowledge of industry updates about SEO strategies, tactics, and algorithm shifts.
- Process Improvement: Bring forward-thinking ideas to improve processes, tools, and techniques for SEO growth.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to maintain and drive account integrity, and collaborate with team members to align SEO strategies with broader marketing goals.
Job Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years in a digital marketing or SEO role. Internship or freelance experience in SEO is beneficial.
- SEO Knowledge: Basic understanding of SEO principles and best practices.
- Certifications and Tools: Relevant certifications and proficiency in tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, BrightEdge) are a plus.
- Content Creation: Ability to create compelling content for various industries. Strong copywriting skills for engaging and SEO-friendly content.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and a basic understanding of HTML.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Teamwork: Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Interpersonal Skills: Good interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships.
