EMT/Paramedic – Urgent Care
Bayview Physicians GroupBayview Physicians Group is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated EMT-Intermediate (EMT-I), EMT-Advanced (EMT-A), or Paramedic (EMT-P) to join our Urgent Care team. Under the supervision and medical direction of the Urgent Care Physician, the EMT/Paramedic plays a critical role in supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist urgent care providers with both invasive and non-invasive clinical procedures, including but not limited to:
- Electrocardiograms (EKGs)
- Intravenous (IV) insertions
- Phlebotomy
- Deliver age-appropriate care by demonstrating knowledge of human growth and development across the life span.
- Collect and interpret patient data to support clinical assessment and decision-making.
- Ensure adherence to departmental policies and procedures while maintaining a safe, supportive patient environment.
- Collaborate effectively with the care team to enhance the patient experience and outcomes.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Successful completion of an approved Paramedic or EMT-I training course. Equivalent military medical training and experience may be considered.
Experience:
- Minimum of one (1) year of field experience preferred, but not required.
Licensure/Certifications:
- Current certification as a Virginia or National Registry EMT-I, EMT-A, or EMT-P required.
- Current CPR certification required.
- Relevant military medical experience (e.g., corpsman or medical technician) may be accepted in lieu of EMT certification.
