https://datacoresystems.com/. Data-Core Systems Inc. is seeking anIoT/SCADA Engineer who is responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining IoT devices and SCADA systems used in toll management, traffic monitoring, and roadway automation. They ensure real-time monitoring, remote control, and secure communication between toll equipment and central control systems to keep toll plazas and traffic systems running smoothly.Key ResponsibilitiesIoT Device & Sensor Management

  • Install, configure, and maintain IoT sensors (RFID readers, ANPR cameras, weigh-in-motion systems, GPS trackers, traffic counters).

  • Ensure connectivity and data flow from IoT devices to central toll management systems.

  • Integrate IoT devices with cloud platforms for analytics and predictive maintenance.

SCADA System Administration

  • Configure and maintainSCADA systems for toll plazas, power supplies, barriers, gates, and traffic control systems.

  • Develop and maintainHMI/SCADA dashboards for real-time monitoring of roadside assets.

  • Ensure SCADA alarms, notifications, and event logs are accurate and actionable.

Integration & Automation

  • Integrate IoT/SCADA systems with central databases, ERP, and cloud-based analytics platforms.

  • Implement automation scripts and protocols (MQTT, Modbus, OPC UA, REST APIs) for seamless data exchange.

  • Support real-time decision-making by enabling remote control of tolling infrastructure.

Security & Reliability

  • Implement cybersecurity measures to protect IoT and SCADA systems from hacking and tampering.

  • Ensure redundancy and failover mechanisms for critical tolling operations.

  • Monitor system health and uptime to meet operational SLAs.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues in IoT devices and SCADA systems.

  • Perform preventive maintenance for toll plaza sensors, barriers, and control systems.

  • Collaborate with field engineers for on-site troubleshooting.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Computer Engineering, or related field.

  • Hands-on experience with SCADA systems (Siemens, Schneider, Rockwell, GE, Wonderware, Ignition, etc.).

  • Knowledge of IoT platforms (Azure IoT Hub, AWS IoT Core, Google IoT Core).
