Birdy Grey is looking for a customer-obsessed and highly analytical Consumer Insights Manager to support our company strategy & cross-functional leaders and teams. You will be responsible for developing and cultivating our research processes to foster a data-driven culture that enables faster and better decision-making. You are a mixed-methods researcher with experience conducting and managing custom and vendor research and supporting cross-functional partners to turn research insights into action.
As part of the Strategy team, and in close partnership with other leaders and teams, you will deliver actionable insights that will inform our future growth strategy at Birdy Grey.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define, plan and execute a company-wide approach to consumer research that influences and drives the roadmap for future strategic initiatives
- Build trusted relationships with cross-functional leaders across Strategy, Merchandising, Marketing, Operations and Technology to drive impact
- Lead recurring market research study with Gen Pop/TAM audience to provide insights on market share, customer pain points, and growth opportunities
- Manage and evolve our approach to existing customer research, including annual survey and other engagement methods to collect insights (i.e., draft research goals, write questionnaires, manage panel/vendors, analyze results, build recommendations)
- Build upon NPS and CSAT programs to focus on key touchpoints within the customer journey
- Work with business leaders to scope and execute qualitative and quantitative research projects to support strategic initiatives (e.g., new categories, business models, product optimizations, etc.)
- Stay up-to-date on key competitors and industry news (i.e., headlines, earnings reports, launches), and send monthly/quarterly updates to senior leaders
- Conduct deep-dives on customer, competitor or industry trends as needed
- Manage third-party research vendors (e.g., agencies, moderators, tools)

- You have an entrepreneurial spirit. You thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, fluid environment. You are comfortable with ambiguity and take initiative to lead projects.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree Required
EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of experience in a research role at a consumer-focused company or agency
- Mixed method researcher (Expert in both quantitative and qualitative research methods and tools)
- Comfortable with ambiguous and unstructured questions with the ability to break them down into actionable research workstreams
- Ability to scope and execute surveys end to end (draft questions, program survey, field, analyze results, present insights)
- Strong analytical (Excel) skills with the experience and ability to independently perform data analysis and surface actionable insights (e.g., knowledgeable and skillful in sanitizing raw data, running various analyses, building charts, storytelling, etc.)
- Strong presenter that is able to communicate insights in a compelling manner to senior leadership, product managers, designers, engineers, or marketers
