Join the team and play a critical role in a fast-paced Silicon Valley startup that's changing the definition of "real time," and the world's expectations for high-speed data processing, computation, and analytics.ABOUT THE ROLEWe seek a creative, experienced, proactive System Administrator to join our internal IT team.Upcoming tasks:
- Private server room in remote Data Center:
- DELL Bare Metal Servers (Linux/Windows): provisioning, deployment, maintenance, monitoring, backup;
- Network Switches and Firewalls: configuring, maintenance, monitoring, backup, implementing the high availability and fault tolerance networking;
- On-premises Kubernetes Cluster: the same things as the bare metal servers;
- Automation: Developing and implementing the automating provisioning and configuring tools.
- Major clouds:AWS, GCP, and Azure: provisioning and maintaining infrastructures by IaaC tools;Cloud Networking: Configuring inter-network connections between clouds and on-premises equipment.
- Security:Collaborate with the Security manager to implement infrastructure security tasks.
Our expectations:
- Linux, Windows, and macOS as the System Administrator, including bulk system provisioning, directory services administration, and implementing security requirements;
- Networking in general as the Network Engineer, including switching and routing, network security, and encrypted network interconnection;
- Fluency in automation and IaaC tools, including Ansible and Terraform;
- Fluency in Bash or Python or both scripting;
- The ability to perform routine tasks for a long time, clearly follow established procedures and rules, and the power and desire to maintain detailed documentation;
- Goodwill and willingness to share knowledge with team members;
- Intermediate English: reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
The following experience will be a plus:
- Configuring and managing Atlassian products, including Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Opsgenie, and Confluence;
- Configuring and managing CI/CD tools, including TeamCity, Jenkins, etc.;
- Fashionable monitoring and alerting tools, including Prometheus, Grafana, etc.
