You will play a critical role in driving innovation, overseeing technical operations, and ensuring the successful implementation of technology initiatives to support the company's goals and objectives.The role reports to Mindgrub's Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Responsibilities & Duties
Business Acumen:
- Understanding of Business Models: Knowledge of how technology drives revenue, reduces costs, and provides a competitive advantage.
- Financial Management: Skills in budgeting and financial forecasting related to technology investments.
- Customer Focus: Insights into how technology can enhance customer experience and satisfaction.
Market Intelligence:
- Industry Trends: Knowledge, monitoring, and tracking of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive developments.
- Market Dynamics: Identify opportunities for innovation and proactively respond to changes in the competitive landscape.
Technical Expertise:
- Deep Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in various technologies and platforms, including software development, infrastructure, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.
- Software Development: Understanding of programming languages, development frameworks, and best practices in software engineering.
- System Architecture: Skills in designing scalable, secure, and efficient systems.
- Emerging Technologies: Awareness and understanding of the latest technological trends and innovations, such as AI, blockchain, and IoT.
Strategic Vision:
- Technology Strategy: Ability to align technology with the company’s overall business strategy and goals.
- Innovation: Capacity to foster a culture of innovation and stay ahead of technological advances.
- Product Roadmapping: Skills in planning and overseeing the development of technology products that meet market needs.
Leadership and Management:
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with external partners, industry experts, and technology communities.
- Executive Engagement: Collaborate with executives, department heads, and other stakeholders to understand their technology needs and priorities.
- Team Building: Expertise in hiring, developing, and retaining top technical talent.
- Project Management: Proficiency in managing complex projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.

Requirements
- Candidates in the DMV who are within driving distance to the Baltimore office preferred.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees and relevant certifications in Business Administration are preferred.
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in technology leadership roles, preferably in fast-paced, innovative environments.
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in digital agency and consulting practices.
- Experience in tracking market trends and establishing strategic landscape for company growth.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing technology strategies aligned with business goals.
- Strong technical background with expertise in areas such as software development, infrastructure, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
