Position Overview
A master machinist will be responsible for performing all tasks related to the manufacturing and re-manufacturing of Additive Manufacturing Machine build plates. Manufacturing of any and all fixturing and non-standard work holding needed to perform these tasks. Will be asked to consult on the design of certain components and features for ease of manufacturing. In addition to build plate related tasks a master machinist will be responsible for quick turn machining and re-work of R&D components and hardware for use in development of new equipment and technology and continued development of existing equipment and technology.
A master machinist will also be responsible for machine tool maintenance and upkeep, 5S of work area, general shop cleanliness, ordering tooling, work holding, tool holding, and materials needed to complete work.
