POSITION SUMMARY:
EarnIn is looking for a Sr. Policy Communications Manager to join the Office of the CEO. This individual will ideate and execute thought leadership communications on behalf of the CEO, and develop and execute EarnIn’s thought leadership voice in the market.
This role presents a unique opportunity for the candidate who is excited about working at the intersection of Research, Government Relations and Communications. This individual will work closely with senior leaders at EarnIn and will report to the Chief of Staff. This is a hybrid position; this individual should be in the office (Palo Alto, CA) at least 2-3 days per week.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $149,000 - $188,700 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Sit at the intersection of the Office of the CEO, Research, Analytics, Government Relations, Communications and other teams to communicate with customers, media, legislators, and other audiences on key issues affecting EarnIn’s community
- Develop EarnIn’s executive thought leadership strategy, focusing on developing and highlighting the CEO’s voice in the industry
- Identify and present stories to highlight EarnIn’s decisions and efforts around customer impact and innovation
- Identify the appropriate channels through which to distribute and publish our points of view
- Directly engage with our customers through forums like newsletters, meetups, etc.
- Direct internal or external research and analysis in service of communications plans
- Execute qualitative and quantitative research, build partnerships, and develop strong storytelling
- Draft messaging strategy for press releases, blogs, FAQs, executive OpEds, and other key messages; brief spokespeople and staff interviews; drive education efforts among external industry, business, or legal groups, as well as academia
- Regularly and proactively partner with key stakeholders across functions to assist in addressing issues, driving alignment, and quickly advancing priorities; work across functions to distill data and concepts into compelling, easy-to-understand policy and advocacy communications
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- 5+ years experience in corporate affairs, communications, public policy, or public administration
- BS/BA required
- Strong storyteller with an analytical, critical-thinking mindset; able to direct and execute quantitative research
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Enthusiasm for startups and FinTech preferred
